tvn commentedWe just deployed the code for the updated marketplace and haven't moved everyone from the old training page yet (which is now located at http://drupal.org/training-services-old). If you already have an organization page - please fill newly added fields related to training and check "Request training listing". If you were present on the old training page we will list you right away. If you weren't present - request will go through moderation process according to guidelines http://drupal.org/node/1735708

alex ua commented@emmajane that's certainly true, and yet, we still are serving that market. I talked this over with tvn, we discussed whether this should be changed to "locations", but until that point this is a non-issue, since we do serve the Canadian market.
Marking as postponed until this is clarified.

Anonymous (not verified) commentedSetting to 'needs work' as I understand this is the correct status now for when the OP needs to do something.
alex ua commentedActually, this issue is no longer valid because *all* of the companies listed need to change their listings, so this should either be broadened to include all of those organizations, or another ticket should be opened to deal with that and this should be closed as a duplicate. Until then, I'm changing the title.

Anonymous (not verified) commentedHi Alex! Thanks for the futher info, I'm "new" around here so just trying to go through and organise the list so it's less confusing for others after. I've no idea what's going on with this issue so am going to leave it for someone more knowledgable to look at! cheers ;)

gregglesI recently got an email from a friend in New Zealand who needed help and I sent him to d.o/services assuming that there would be a new zealand "countries served" and that he would find some good local providers there.
http://drupal.org/drupal-services/featured/all/all/New-Zealand
* AdaptiveThemes - Northern Europe based
* Agaric - North America based
* Agileware - Australia based
* Code Enigma - UK based
* Lullabot - North America based
* Srijan Technologoies - South Asia based
For someone who is looking for people *in the location* this doesn't feel super useful. These companies are a pretty broad spectrum of Drupal providers.
So, basically +1 to what Alex said in #4. I hope that companies will be really selective about places where they have an actual presence.

alex ua commentedWould it be possible to simply clear all of the data from that field and then companies can go back and add their locations? Also, what's the difference between HQ and locations?
tvn commentedSo we have another issue about this taxonomy change #1765610: Change title of "Countries served" vocabulary to "Locations" and I am closing this one.
The current plan is:
This is planned for ~Thursday.
