I'm using Drupal Commons. I have enabled "display link on profile page", but there is still no link that can directly send a message to the user who's profile is being used. Any help will be GREATLY appreciated.

I've just installed 7.x-2.x-dev with Drupal Commons 7.x-3.0 and have the above issue.

Anyone have any ideas on how to make the link show?

Try installing the latest dev version of the module (2.x-dev) and clearing the caches.

I am having the same issue above. It appears the 2.x-dev version does not work on live sites yet. I'll appreciate a fix soon, Thanks

@deeray Which version of Drupal/distribution are you using?

The 7.x-2.x dev version can be used on live sites; I use it on my own production site.

If you need a quick solution, look at these options for placing the link manually:
