yeah, it's great
There was a change of MySQL table types. Seems to have helped a lot :D

Indeed, performance on
Indeed, performance on Drupal.org was becoming more or less manageable - until a couple of days ago. It's back to 30-40 seconds wait between clicks, which, need I say, is deplorable. And what's even more saddening, is that the experience of the past 2 weeks or so has demonstrated that drupal.org does know what quick response means. How come it's back to those awfully long waits???? Is it temporary? Will we be back to 1-2 seconds wait instead of 30-40 ????

The site performance is
The site performance is dismal. I timed it at 2-minutes 37-seconds from click until the requested page appears. That's absurd!
And isn't really an encouraging demonstrtion of Drupal's capabilities to a prospective new drupal user or a prospective drupal developer ... heck, it's not even encouraging to those of us who are already using Drupal. Is this what I can expect my site to become -- slow as molassas?
It's painful -- just painful -- to use this website as it is.
I agree with fm. The site is
I agree with fm. The site is awfully slow. I've been trying to load http://drupal.org/project/Modules/name for 5 minutes now and after 3 or 4 requests it still hasn't loaded. These timings don't happen that often, but timings of 10-20 seconds are not unusual.
See that "Donate" link up in the corner?
Try clicking on it.
I would hope that, since I assume your site is being paid for, it won't happen to you. DO has to rely on free server space.

Cop-out. :-/
Cop-out. If drupal.org can't even run a website, they've got no business asking for our donations.
For the record, I've *already* made donations to drupal projects, and I don't appreciate getting hit up for money every time I come here.
Good idea!

Drupal is just a hobby for me at the moment. Hope to get paid for some Drupal stuff in the near future though. I will certainly consider making a donation :-)
//edit: Not to offense anyone, but there's already donated a lot of money and the site's still slow. Not that this is an excuse for me not to donate, but it does make me wonder what happens with all that money.
