[META] Replacing Node module

One of the main reasons I became so interested in entities was the possibilities of having all of the awesomeness of nodes wrapped in a more flexible package. I think through eck we are getting close to that goal, but I would like to keep a list of what is left to be accomplished.

As far as I can tell, this is what is left:

1. Simple publishing behavior
2. Node Access (This is on the works here:#1374150: Better Permissions)
3. Using the aliasing system (should evaluate these 2 projects: https://www.drupal.org/project/pathauto_entity, https://www.drupal.org/project/entity_path
4. Comments (I believe there are many ways to skin this cat, I believe there are some solutions being worked out already!?)

Am I missing anything?
