I tried to delete a few terms and the confirmation page presented me with an empty list (bullet points were there though). After deletion I got a success message, but again it listed empty strings (separated by comas). See attached screenshots...

I'm mostly convinced that these issues occur because I have chosen to replace the core taxonomy terms' title/name field with the field provided by the Title module. In this screenshot, you can see its side-effects "in action":
