I'm adapting CCK to work on my IIS/SQL Server 2000 setup. Wondering if you're willing to support that in the future?

CCK should support any db supported by Drupal core itself. No less, but probably no more (at least in the official distro).

However, there are a number of efforts out there to provide a data definition layer for drupal, that should lower the cost of supporting more database engines. See http://drupal.org/node/136171, for instance.
Not sure this will be in time for D6, though.
