Just a fast question to these of you who are here much longer and have much more knowledge about Drupal's modules. Are there any modules that I could use for building a site for e-sport clan? Like roster, wars/matches and similiar stuff? Last time I checked I couldn't find much and tried searching for dedicated CMS for gaming clans, but I'm back at wondering if Drupal will be up to the task again ;)

The only thing that comes near to your needs is http://drupal.org/project/sport
but its d6, not finished and seems to be abandoned
Thats a real pitty.. here are a lot of modules but it seems that there is a big whole on this issue

Yeah, I saw this one and was suprised there's nothing more. I even used to think Drupal has almost the every possible modules I would ever need, but I didn't think esport is the thing that is completely missing. Well, maybe somebody will know of something more, but I doubt it. ;)
Thanks for your reply.

There aren't usually a lot of large vertical modules like that because drupal is like legos and most advanced functionality is done by assembling and configuring the various contribs that provide the desired functionality in discrete chunks. You can then package up specific configurations into installation profiles. It's designed that way on purpose-- it's a pro not con, lol.
Okay, so can you tell me,
Okay, so can you tell me, which modules would you use to make a clan wars system? Roster is the smallest problem, but that wars and scores in matches is the major thing I want to figure out. So, any ideas?

Usually this type of stuff is done with several core content types for the different items that need management and nodereference fields to relate them to each ether, and views to tie everything together and present the info. In this particular case however, it seems there actually are several options-- sport (the one linked above), leaguesite, and ult. If it were me, I'd probably take ult and leaguesite for spins before deciding whether or not to build it manually.
