In version 1.0 themable function simplenews_scheduler_title can be used to create unique titles for the editions generated by the module.

In 2.0 the simplenews_scheduler_title function is still defined but not invoked in the code.
I wonder why this functionality was removed in 2.0 and if it is intentional why did not removed it completely.

Anyway, I think it is a very important feature and there sould be a way to generate custom titles for the newsletter issues.
For example the date in the title.

Yes i think it fell off the boat when reworking a few things, I hope to reintroduce this as a token value, it was originally always appending to the subject, which I think also annoyed people, I agree that it is however an important value to have.
