Hey everyone out there. I just want to know how do you create your own .ico file for a browser icon. I figured I can just upload my own pix w/ same dims but I figured wrong. I appreciate it if you know and can provide details.

Here is what I suggest:

* Create a square image
* Then use this: http://www.chami.com/html-kit/services/favicon/

You can also do it here: http://www.flavicon.com/converter

A really great shareware program for anything pictures and even audio is Irfanview at www.irfanview.com which will make ico files. You need to size them 1st or the size is way to large, so if your just doing one you might want to go with the online options.

You can create a bmp image with 64x64 px and rename .bmp to .ico i saw this tip some place in this forum and it works
