Would a transaction automatically be added to my client's QuickBooks Online account, i.e. a paid-in-full invoice with customer information?

No. This module has nothing to do Quickbooks software online or otherwise. It is only a merchant account gateway for processing credit card transactions through Quickbooks Merchant Service.

True, however I'm curious if anyone has experienced running a transaction at QBMS account that is connected to QuickBooks online triggering a sales receipt.

For those interested: Running a test transaction to a QBMS account that is connected to a QuickBooks Online account creates no sales receipt / no sign whatsoever that a charge was run.

I think that the transactions are added in Quickbooks online. The easiest way to accomplish this is to make sure that you have added the following way. I have given an example for this:
