Is it possible to use custom content types and arrange data with Views for this module?

Not really... but if you were to base your "custom" content types off of the PageFlip content types it would work fine -- in other words, don't change the machine names, though you can rename them if you like, and don't remove any fields, though you can add fields all you want.
