The module connects and can interact with Sugar using the REST web service.
Basically you need to create your own module which uses the functions in this one to do whatever you need it to do.
Its basically so much cooler than SugarCRM, because it works out of the box....any chance you might support both, or develop support, with a paying project?
Thanks, JamesK. It is a good reply. Basically, sugarondrupal is a 'services wrapper' including some hooks to perform queries against the SugarCRM setup. The thing is, only one module is published, but there are at least other three I'd like to clean up first and include in to the repository. Once of them keeps track of several sugarcrm connections at the same time and includes caching, other supports for users synchronization between Drupal and SugarCRM and the other one is a Drupal views database backend, so you can use views module to show SugarCRM real time information. When all three are in use, a Drupal site can turn into a very flexible shop system or an user portal for Sugar (and also for info@hand).
All of them are working, just need a clean up, but I'm still looking for some sponsoring for these tasks. I've try to get the privately, but in the end I'll considering accepting any other kind of support.
About info@hand (powered by SugarCRM), it supports SugarCRM SOAP as of version 4.5.1i. The repository implementation includes only services V2 version, but firsts version of sugarondrupal were built on top of SugarCRM 4.5. I'm very interested in accepting any kind of payment as 'module sponsor', and I'd preffer being this way instead of 'private development', and I suggest that the goal of this development could be including this missing SOAP (version 1 as in use of 4.5.1i) support for sugarondrupal.
If in the end you want to sponsorship part of this development you can post a budget and scope in the queue, perhaps others are also interested.
