I've added the Drupal Guestbook to a website I built for a client but cannot get the dgb: send email action to work. I created the action and then assigned the trigger to when a new guestbook entry is saved but when I enter a new entry I get the following error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function locale() in mywebsite\sites\default\modules\dgb\dgb.module on line 1497

I've noticed that the entry does save to my site but no email is sent.

Thanks in advance

Thanks for your report.

Quick fix: Please enable the optional core module Locale.

Upcoming release fix this to work without the Locale module
and any other issues (additional replacement entry date time, better user inform message, accept HTML tags in configured action to send better formatted emails and any other things)

Thanks.

I'm happy if you write an review on http://drupalmodules.com/
This can help to promote DGB.

Hello,

I have just had the same problem happen to me, Drupal 6.28, DGB 6.x-1.3

Again, this was fixed by turning on Locale, but I had to find that from here.

Surely this can be fixed by one of the following:

  • Make Locale a dependancy of the module.
  • Add in a function_exists() for locale()

Hope this helps.

Worked for me as well
