I have 2 drupal sites indexed with solr. The multisitesearch works ok but it returns localhost as the host name for content from either site. This can be fixed temporarily by refreshing the metadata and deleting and rebuilding the indexes but it never seems to stay fixed.

How can I fix this permanently?

I think you need to set $base_url in settings.php for each site.
