arithmetric commentedAttached is an alternative approach for a Drupal 7 port of this module. Rather than updating to Drupal 7 from this module's 6.x branch, I started with the Drupal 7 version of the nodequeue module's smartqueue. This approach is simpler and also adds support for OG groups that are defined by taxonomy terms (instead of by nodes).

and more errors against 6.x-1.0-rc3.
