As many have noticed, the Theme developer module does not always play nice with Views. It would be nice to have the known problems documented in the Views help.

Suggested additions to the documentation
With the Theme Developer module enabled, the field grouping in Views does not work. Disable the Theme Developer module before grouping by fields.

Although it is true that the Group By selection causes an error when it is used, this is the only thing I could get to break with themer turned on.

I say that this patch is good to go as is, and perhaps I should open a ticket in the issue queue of themer about this particular issue?

I think thats by design of the theme developer that it crashes with other modules :)

You can try but i think there is no chance.
