Hi all,

I've got drupal 4 up and running on my win2k box, everything works fine except the filestore-module for drupal 4. I did everything as described in the install-file: copying .module, importing .mysql... at first I thought it had worked, as I could administer it and it showed up on my user-page.
I tried to upload a file and clicked on "preview". The preview seemed to work, although it contained no link to download the file. Nevertheless, I clicked on "Submit", hoping everything would be allright when it's published. After hitting "submit", i went to the "Files"-Section of my site, hoping i would find it there. But nothing. No file. Nada. I thought it had something to do with the vocabulary-thing (I'm new to drupal), but after fiddling with that for a while it still didn't work.
Anybody out there with the same experience? is filestore not ready for 4.0.0 (it says it was made for 4 in the install-file)?

cheers,
mike

My site works fine, except for the filestore. After messing long enough with the filestore.mysql (that is mixing a table named "file" and "filestore") I did get it sort of working. Unfortunately when I try to download an uploaded file (25k), it only gives me a partial file Only local images are allowed. . The download terminates after about 10k, which is different for each file I try to upload.

Anybody have an idea how to get it working properly?

Thanks

PS: It would also be very cool to have a checkbox in user permissions to turn off/on the right to upload and download files seperately (I don't want any authenticated users to have the right to upload Only local images are allowed. )

I have raised a bug report about this. I found that you need to re-upload the file every time you submit the page, even if you are doing nothing with the file at all.

I hope this helps, and I hope we get a fix soon.

This is my first time using Drupal... I installed the filestore module but when I try to upload a file via the "browse" button, it just keeps telling me "You need to supply an upload file." in red print... even though I do specify a filename (and I have "all" types allowed).
