This module isn't technically require anymore now that core has file video support.

Proposed resolution

Add a 3.x branch with an update path to migrate to the course source plugin and formatters, in similar fashion to media_entity_audio's 3.x branch

Does it make sense to also uninstall the module after the upgrade path script was run? This would follow suit with how the Media Entity Actions upgrade path and uninstall worked in https://www.drupal.org/node/2998468
