hass commentedAt least the email template seems to have been moved into D8 core. Only the roles and custom email address is missing.

mrpauldriver commentedMy sites send a lot of transactional email and use a no-reply address for [site:email]
This module provides useful functionality for notifying roles and custom email address of new accounts. If tokenized, it could also be used for other purposes, in rules for example.
+1 for a Drupal 8 version
Comment #5
hass commentedCurrently I have no immediate need for a D8 version as there are too many missing modules to run a real site.
So if you'd like to see it done, you can do it on top of the current stable D7 and share the patch for review or sponsor me to do it. Just send me your offers by email, please. I guess this may take 8-10 working hours.

gisleIf you click on the link to the user profile of the current maintainer (hass), you'll notice the account is blocked.
To get someone to action the merge request, the project needs a new owner.

anybodyDid anyone find a Drupal 8+ alternative for this module yet? I still think it would be quite useful. Some poor man alternatives might be using actions. Or heavy: ECA

grevil commented@uberhacker, thanks for the Drupal 8 port! I will try making this module Drupal 9/10 compatible.

anybodyHere we go. I created 2.x and we're now maintainers for the Drupal 10 compatible branch. Kudos to @uberhacker for the initial work on the port!

anybodyThis looks super promising @Grevil! Great work. I left some comments.
Please test this manually on Monday and check if we need further tests to be written afterwards to check the events and settings form.
