Do you plan to support renaming of field dependencies, like views, etc.? That would be nice.

Do you mean going through all the views and renaming the fields?

Yes, if it's feasible. The views, where the renamed field was used, would be broken without it. The same applies to rules and other field-using modules.

I agree, this is a good feature. I've committed some code to rename the fields, filters, and sorts in all views on the system.

If someone can submit a patch for other modules, likes Rules, or improvements to the views code, please create a new issue specific for that.
