i think the very useful live search filter within the add fields dialog should not only filter by field name (title) but also by the additional information being displayed, as it contains for example the content type.

example:
Content: MyField
Appears in: node:my_content_type, node:my_field. Also known as: Content: MyContentType, Content: MyField.

currently we filter only by "Content: MyField". i would suggest also filtering by the second row as often i want to add multiple fields for a specific content type, so this might be a good approach.
