I need help/advise on my pathauto settings. Am I using it correctly?
I haven't found anything that really explains these settings and I am running
with the default settings. I read the Readme but not much details on this.
I want to make sure that I am not creating duplicate content that Google will penalize me for. It appears that I have
2 pages for each content (/node & my descriptive alias). I have a solid Robots.txt file that seems to prevent the /node reads.
Here are my PATHAUTO admin settings:
GENERAL SETTINGS SECTION:
Verbose - "unchecked"
Separator "_"
Quotation marks: "Remove"
Max alias length: 128
Max component length: 128
Create index aliases - "unchecked"
Bulk generate index aliases - "unchecked"
Update action - "Do nothing, leaving the old alias intact"
NODE PATH SETTINGS SECTION:
Default path pattern - "[title]"
(nothing else checked in this section)
USER PATH SETTINGS SECTION:
Pattern for user account page paths - "user/[user]"
(nothing else checked in this section)
CATEGORY PATH SETTINGS SECTION:
Default path pattern - "[vocab]/[catpath]"
(nothing else checked in this section)
