Entity Activity Mass Subscribe

The optional Entity Activity Mass Subscribe module lets authorized users subscribe or unsubscribe multiple users from an enabled content entity.

Access the form

Enable the submodule. A Mass subscribe local task is then available on the canonical page of content entities enabled in Entity Activity settings.

Access requires either Mass subscribe users or Mass subscribe users on editable entities. The editable-entities permission limits access to entities the acting user may update.

Subscription methods

The form offers three independently permissioned methods:

• Per role: select one or more roles. Active users with those roles are processed.
• Per user: select one or more users with the autocomplete entity-reference field.
• Per list: select users from a table. Filter the table by search text or role and adjust the result limit before selecting users.

Select Unsubscribe to reverse the operation and remove matching subscriptions instead of creating them.

• Mass subscribe per user
• Mass subscribe per list
• Mass unsubscribe users

Grant the base access permission plus only the methods a role should use. Grant Mass unsubscribe users separately when the role may remove subscriptions.

Operational notes

Large selections are processed as a batch. Before running a large role or list operation, confirm the filters and whether the form is set to subscribe or unsubscribe.
