Entity Activity Mail
The optional Entity Activity Mail module sends a user's activity logs by email immediately or as a scheduled digest.
Enable and configure
- Enable the Entity Activity Mail submodule.
- Go to
/admin/config/content/entity-activity/mail-settings. - Enable mail reports and configure delivery behavior.
- Grant Administer Entity Activity Mail only to trusted roles.
General settings
- Enable or disable all Entity Activity mail reports.
- Include only unread logs, or include any logs not previously sent.
- Mark logs as read after they are sent.
- Choose the daily cron time.
- Log successfully sent reports.
- Set the default frequency assigned to new users.
Run Drupal cron at least hourly so queued reports and scheduled frequencies are processed reliably. Queue processing can be resource intensive on sites with many recipients or logs.
Mail settings
Configure the sender address, subject, body, and footer. An empty sender uses the site email address. The body and footer support user tokens, and translatable mail settings are rendered in the recipient's preferred language.
Reports are plain text unless the site configures a compatible HTML mail solution.
User frequencies
Each user selects a report frequency on their profile:
- None: do not send reports.
- Immediately: send one email for each new log.
- Daily: send a daily report.
- Weekly: send a weekly report.
- Monthly: send a monthly report.
Theming reports
The mail template can be overridden in a theme. It receives the log entities included in the report and a render array of those logs using the mail view mode supplied by the submodule.
