Bio:

I serve as Head of Web Development at the Smithsonian Institution, where I lead architecture, infrastructure, and platform strategy for one of the largest public-facing digital ecosystems in the United States, covering more than 200 websites spanning 21 museums and research centers.

Drupal is the foundation of our enterprise web platform. I have led the development and standardization of a reusable Drupal-based platform model that reduced web development costs by 30% and accelerated delivery across the institution. Our team manages Drupal projects internally and through contracts, with active work across multiple concurrent initiatives at any given time.

Beyond CMS development, I oversee the Linux hosting and database environments that support our Drupal ecosystem, including MySQL cluster administration and high-availability infrastructure for mission-critical institutional services.
My broader focus includes digital accessibility governance, open technology ecosystems, and the emerging application of AI-enabled discovery and knowledge systems in public-serving institutions.

I have worked in enterprise technology for over 30 years, with a background spanning platform architecture, infrastructure operations, business intelligence, ERP, and software delivery, always with an emphasis on durable, accessible, and open systems.
