Bug fixes

This the last 8.x release before 9.x version which is identical to 9.x-1.0-alpha1.

Therefore it is actually a 9.x version which means you cannot update to this version from 8.x-2.x version directly.

Known issues

Updating from 8.7 with this release might result in errors. See #3131286: Updating core 8.7 -> 8.8 with pathauto not possible. It is recommended to use pathauto 1.6 while updating from Drual 8.7 and only update to 1.7 afterwards

Warning to sites that are still on Drupal 8.7

The composer.json incorrectly claims that this release is still compatible with Drupal 8.7 and running composer update will try to update that. Either update to Drupal 8.8 or require an earlier version until you can do so:

composer require drupal/token:1.6
