Changes since 8.x-1.0-alpha2:

To use this release it is recommended to also upgrade file_entity to 7.x-2.1. This is release 7.x-2.6 of media 7.x-2.x branch, improved support for upgrades from 7.x-1.x to 7.x-2.6 (please read the full release notes). Improved handling of embedding in the wysiwyg. These are the following issues resolved in 7.x-3.x now merged to 7.x-2.x.

This is the first 2.x branch release with the rewrite from #2665434: Computed values not computed.

I checked to see if there's anything in 1.x that needs to be ported to 2.x, and there isn't. As such, we can officially declare 1.x dead; it will no longer be supported.
