Multilingual Guide

You can configure a Drupal website to use a language other than English and you can configure a site to use multiple languages.

If your site uses only one language, in Drupal 8 you can simply install in that language. In Drupal 7 and earlier, you may wish to use a localized distribution; see the Localized Drupal Distribution project page.

Translating site interfaces

When enabled, the core Interface Translation ("Locale" in versions before Drupal 8) module allows you to present your Drupal site in a language other than the default (English).
