say in a custom node.tpl, should this always be wrapping displayed text? even once it is passed through other functions like check_plain(); ? or should it only be text that is not manually entered via a node form etc
I tried to translate drupal into danish, but got this error every time!!

Hi all, what is the recommended way to "re-brand" drupal modules?
For example, OG uses the term "Groups" and I want to call them "Circles". I have several options. Hack og.module, string replace in template, etc. It has also occurred to me that I could probably use the locale module and create my own language pot files that translates "groups" to "circles".
during localization we shud we translate all the text between tags or in some cases only, e.g. in submitted by Username on date i dnt knw tags is used for wat , shud i always translate the text writen in these tags.
We are trying to recreate an existing Multilingual site in Drupal. Any suggestions? Please suggest the best strategy with some cases, if possible. We are very new to Drupal.
My problem is not about translation but I guess this froum might be a good place to get some help.
I enabled the local module, added/enabled simplified Chinese language and chose it in the language field of the content. The Chinese characters get displayed in the preview mode, but they became unrecognizable after submission(actually, they turned into questions marks).
Did I overlook anything? Need to configure something else?
It is 3 in the morning and I am really beaten-up.
Any suggestion will be appreciated.
