Post installation

I've just installed a 4.7.2 version of drupal to test the book import/export features to see if upgrading my 4.6 site is worth its cost.

I would like to pass varioables through the URL, but am completely confused how to do it...

Something like http://www.example.com/events/north/1222222

Where 1222222 would be the value to be passed. By looking around on the forums I think it has somehting to to do with the Menu functions and the items[] array?? Am I in the right ballpark?

Can anybody give quick, simple step-by-step instructions on how to do this?

Before, I start with the query, I would like to introduce myself as this is my first post here at Drupal forums.

I've been using drupal for some time now and have set it up with a lot of custom content types and all. Now I have an issue.. my client wants me to export the data into a txt file using a specific format to delimit entries and data inside the entries. How do I go about exporting the Drupal data into a text file and choose the delimiters i want?

Dear Drupal Experts,

can someone please point me in the direction of how to get help with the "Visit Site Index" fucntion in Drupal 4.7.
I have activated and the link is from a secondary menu.

But when you click on the link all you get is the page not found.
The link Drupal generates is .../index.php?q=sitemap

Can anyone help or does this function just not work?

I have a site whose theme is burnt. If I insert an iframe into a node, the background color of the left sidebar, right sidebar, content area and footer switches to white when that node is displayed in the content area. This is not true of the header area. Can anybody think of a reason why this might happen?

I'm of course willing to post snippets (or the whole thing) from my css if somebody thinks that will help. It is basically the default that comes with burnt. I have made some changes, but not many.
