I am setting up a brand new site and have installed the Drupal 5.3 core files and tried to add the YUI 5.X-2.1 and YUI menu 5.x-2.2. I downloaded the YUI library 2.3.1 and put it locally at files/yui. I am getting no response or change in my menus. I have set the root menu as the primary links in the Ubiquity theme with Top nav selected.

Am I missing some other sort of setup step here? Is there an issue with he Drupal 5.3 version? I am still kind of new to Drupal so may be missing something obvious and am looking for any feedback I can here. It seems like a wonderful module but am struggling to get it initiated. Thanks for any feedback I can get.

I did not test it with drupal 5.3. But should work with it. Let me check. Give few days.

Also, did you follow the instruction in ISTALL.TXT that is under the yuimenu folder ?
Especially the How to add menu-> 2- Modify paga.tpl.php approach.

Thank you for the feedback. I had missed the INSTALL in the YUI Menu folder. I think I got through the INSTALL file for the YUI and forgot to go to the one for the menu. I used the adjust page.tpl.php option as the block option did not appear for me (I am using the Newsflash theme). The menu now appears and looks great but is only working for half the buttons. When I click on the other half the menu switches over to a bulleted list format. Likewise, when I go through some of the other navigation on the site such as the Administrator's menu it switches over as well. Very strange to work for some but not the others. I will continue to play around with it and report back if I figure anything out.

I am continuing to have issues with the format of the menu changing between various pages. I am trying to use the top java style menu. On about half of the pages it works fine but then on others the menu will switch to being a bulleted list. Can anyone offer any suggestions for how to fix this issue?
