"Buttons on top and bottom" doesn't work with Gin v5?

It doesn't seem like the "Buttons on top and bottom" option works with the Gin theme?

Install this module and the Gin theme.
Load a node edit page.

Proposed resolution

Make the "Buttons on top and bottom" option work with the Gin theme.
