Hi,

I need this functionality on a Drupal 6 site. How easy would it be to use this module in Drupal 6.

Or could you suggest a workaround - I only need to set up one form on one site - all new sites are built using Drupal 7 - was there some way of POSTing to a different address from a Drupal form that you are aware of which worked under Drupal 6?

Thanks,

bailey86

Hi bailey86, see duplicate issue #2012816: Difficulty of 6.x backport? .

Unfortunately, I'm not aware of how things worked on 6.x. Maybe try a form_alter hook for the one form you need to change in D6? With the alter hook, you could manually change the action attribute of the form HTML tag to whatever you wanted. The approach is discouraged because you are going around the validation and niceties that Drupal provides, but it would do the trick.

Just an update...

I went with your suggestion to use a hook - but then hit an issue https://drupal.org/node/246423 as this is an old D6 site I'm working on.

In the end I used the From API to create a form directly - pointers are at: https://drupal.org/node/262422

I have ported the 7.x-1.1 version of the module and tested it extensively. I have attached it as a patch, but it is also available as a 6.x-1.x branch on GitHub and a release is available for download.

I have reviewed this backport of the webform_remote_post module and confirmed that it works as expected in my production environment.

I have updated the status of this ticket to Reviewed & tested by the community.
