First off, thanks for a great module. I use it for a client's site so users can opt in to following comments on a post. The notification of the original post is done via action/trigger.

My client recently said in addition to the original post notification, he wanted email notifications of all comments to be turned on. I realize I can also do this with action/trigger, but unlike Watcher, users couldn't stop watching a thread.

So....it looks like it is not possible for non-posters to Watch all posts by default. Is this a correct assumption? And if so, I'm kinda surprised that no one seems to have requested this. Please let me know if a) there is a way to do this I'm not aware of, or b) an outline of how to go about it. If I implement in Watcher, I'll submit a patch for consideration.

I also have a client that wants this. My client wants users of a chosen role (which I can handle through permissions) to be emailed whenever a specific content type is created, edited or commented on. Watcher is definitely the simplest of the notification/subscription modules so I'm hoping this is possible or will be soon. Any chance there'll be a checkbox for "Automatically watch all posts of the selected content types"?
