Fivestar voting in views with node relationships

Hello,

I have a view that takes a nid and displays the grandchildren nodes via 2 node reference relationships. One of the fields it displays is a clickable fivestar widget. I am also using the "Node: Vote results" relationship related to the grandchild nodes. The average vote value for the grandchild node displays fine. There are two problems though:

1. The fivestar widget takes its display settings from the parent node. Not a big deal.
2. When I vote from within the view, it does not update the grandchild. I think it tries to vote on the parent, though I'm not positive. This is a big issue for my site.

I will post this in fivestar as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
