Filtering is fine, but it would be nice to also have a views "arguments" feature as well. Currently I suppose it's possible to do with filtering and then parsing the url, but that is duplicating code imho because thats what arguments feature does. It parses the URL for you and already takes into consideration of stuff like clean_urls, aliasing etc. I think this module would do well to have an arguments feature as well.

Duplicate of #873658: cannot pass URL arguments to filter -- as you know.

The arg() function has *never* been available within Views -- has nothing to do with this filter.
