This module is pretty fantastic. It deserves a lot more exposure and installs. I think by not making it specific to Views, but instead becoming the go to module for all throbber customizations (with a views integration option, of course), will give it more attention in the long run.

Lets see how this module goes. My goal was to make a simple and fast module that will make the views throbber sexy. I wanted to keep it simple and fast. Adding support for more modules will add more complexity and maybe some php processing and server load for the sites that run the module. Currently the magic is done by simple css styling that is fast an has almost zero impact in performance. Other modules may require some php template hook overrides that will have greater impact in performance.

I stay positive on this idea. If this module gains popularity and users find it useful i might create a module for all throbbers. Or even other style overrides (like styling the login block or the maintenance page). We' ll see how it goes.

Yes please, and add support for Drupal for Facebook, their progress bar are awful! :)
