It seems Panels 3 suffers from the same weakness this module is designed to address in Views 2. I realize the module name implies a narrower scope, but is there any chance of broadening to include Panels, too?

(Thanks for this module, by the way! This scratches a long time itch of mine!!)

Can you give me some examples of this in panels? I use panels for node template overriding with a url alias so I do not encounter this issue.

It's a known issue that node/nid/junk will return node/nid.

This is definitely still a problem in Panels that have a page URL. I found this thread searching for a solution to that.
