I have a simple view that has 2 fields. The first field is a link, it contains a full url (i.e. http://myurl.com) The second field is the image. I want to output the image as a link. I have set the link field to be excluded from display. I have also set the formatter for the link field as: URL, as link

Now for my second link, which is the image field, i have selected in the REWRITING box, under TEXT, i have checked the box for "Output this field as a link." Then in the LINK PATH field I am using a replacement pattern as specified in my REPLACEMENT PATTERN box. I enter the correct replacement pattern in the field in hopes to turn the image into a link with a path toward the full url as specified in the link field. I use this syntax in the field for LINK PATH: [entity_id_1]

But this simply doesn't work and I don't know where I have gone wrong. Could someone please help because? I feel like I am missing something simple.

Thanks in advance.

You would need url as path and not as link.

Thanks so much for your response, however when I go down to the formatter, in hopes of specifying "url as path" for the link field I do not have that option. I only have the options highlighted in the attached image below. What am I doing incorrectly? I still have not figured this out.

Thanks in Advance.

Choose "url as plain text".
