I have created a View (Drupal 6.19, Views 6.x-2..) and it works perfectly. At some point I must have changed the page name capitalization and now have two distinct pages (e.g. pagename - the page specified in the current View - and Pagename). I would like to delete one of them but nothing I have tried seems to work. Trying to create a new View with a page display Pagename but it results in a database error regarding duplicate content.

Does anyone have a suggestion for removing the duplicate display page?

Mike

Sorry, but I don't understand your question.
What exactly are you trying to delete?
Please post the database error.

I am developing a web site for our church and created a View to display sermons (a custom content type I created). When I initially created the View I configured a Page display named "Sermons". Later I modified the View - (or deleted it and created a new one, I don't remember which) - which created a Page display named "sermons".

There is only one View now (the one that creates the Page view "sermons") but there are two distinctly different pages which can be accessed - Sermons and sermons. I want to delete the page "Sermons" and retain "sermons".

There seems to be no way to do this.

I would much appreciate any advice anyone can give me.

Mike

@ecsmike hmm we'll try to figure it out.

Have you tried going to admin/settings/performance and clearing the cached data?

Perhaps try going to admin/build/views/tools and clearing the Views' cache too. For good measure, run cron after these steps.

If the page is still there afterwards, I wonder if you have created more than one page in your view. When editing your view, on the left side there should be a 'Defaults' view and I assume you created a 'Page' view. Is there only one 'Page' or are there more than one? That may be where the two pages Sermons and sermons are coming from if there are more than one. If so, remove the display you don't want, and you should be good to go after you save.

Tough to say without more information but that'd be my first stab at a solution.

I am also unable to remove or delete a display. I have checked and mine is a 'block' not a page (Display the view as a block.). When clicking on the 'Remove Display' button, and clearing both site wide cache and views cache it still stays in the views list of that view, through the 'Remove Disply' button now says 'Restore Display'. I do want to just remove this totally.

@4 Did you save the view after removing the display? Views gives you the chance to correct a misclick here.

I had this issue too.
flushing cache and logout/login was suffisant in my case :)
