Just checked validation of a page (http://ratref.com/MA-systems/all)
With the exposed filters, if the operator is unlocked, a is generated in the html, which does not validate xhtml 1.1
Not a huge issue, I am just trying to figure out where that element is being called from, and, if possible, how to get rid of it or to place a value there.
When the operator is locked, the page validates.
Thanks in advance for any input.

ratref commentedI found the appropriate file in sites/modules/themes/view-exposed-form.tpl.php
Line 30: <label for="<?php print $widget->id; ?>"> is what is breaking the validator.
If I remove everything but label within the element, it passes. I really don't like changing modules, especially views; can anyone think of any other way around this? I can't seem to figure out where the widget or id would come from for an exposed filter.
Additionally, am trying to figure out how to style (or selectively display) the individual operator options with css, but that's quite minor

iamjon commentedratref hi,
What should it be instead?
Can you give an example of what the out put is, what the error is, and what it should be?
