Hello I'm using drupal 6.13, views 6.x-2.10.

I have a site of conferences, and it is evaluated by taxonomy terms.

I have a few management views and I need to filter the nodes with an exposed filter by term.
I added a filter {Taxonomy: Term - the taxonomy term ID} which provided me a term select list of my chosen vocabulary.
Selected options for this filter: @ "is one of" , [x] Force single

So far so good.. Just I need to evaluate the default (preselected term) for this filter.

I tried to differ the weights between the terms, but with no success - the default is always the first one alphabetically.

Example:
The vocabulary terms list is set by that order - according to weight:
Term #4
Term #1
Term #2
____________
The select list filter will show it according to the weight but the preselected term will be: term #1 | term #1 [\/]
--------------

Thanks in advance,
Ohad

the last few lines were supposed to look like this:

The select list filter will show it according to the weight but the preselected term will be: term #1

____________
| term #1 [\/]

The default will be whatever is selected in the actual filter.

I need to update it using php according to a defined variable. {variable_set() , variable_get()}.

Just an option to somehow modify the default according to related anything

Is it possible to make it programmatic ?

Even just to bypass through views and define the data when Remember is checked

You can change it programmatically via hook_form_alter() -- I think the form will be views_exposed_form and you can check $form_state['view'] to see which view is being exposed.
