<br> and <p> tags not appearing in views agreagator

Using Views 6.x-2.8 I created 'Aggregator item'

These are the relevant settings:

Fields ->Aggreagator:Body

Configure field Aggreagator ->
- Trim this field to maximum length
- Field can contain HTML

Expected HTML to be allowed in the Feed so if there was a br tag it would create new line.

Instead the tag is stripped off - same happens with the p tag - other tags such as - strong parse fine.

I've tried all possible settings with input filters and configuration settings in Aggreagator with no luck. The only thing that worked was uninstalling 2.8 and installing 3.0 Alpha2 which fixes the problem but I need to use Views in production and would like something stable.
