I'm currently trying to create a block which shows specified profile fields from the node's author (not the viewers). This block should only appear when viewing a specific node type.
I've searched quite a lot of issues but I can't find a solution for this.
I've created a node view and created a field "user: name" but it shows a list of the same name many times.
I'm new to views and I'm sorry if this is a stupid question but I do not know how to solve this problem.

dawehnerThis view does what you need. Look at the arguments

kene commentedIt's not working for me.
I've imported this view and created a block display. However, the block does not appear and how can I specifiy the content type this block should be linked to?

mariusz.slonina commentedTry this (for page content type):
This view pass $node->nid as an argument and check the node type and hide if the argument does not validate. The user name field should show author of the node. You can add profile fields as well.
