Hello!

Hope all are well..
I am running into a 'unique' problem and am running out of options and time, hope you could help, here is the situation:

I am working on 2 sites, one is english and another identical one in french. Both sites are separate. My problem is the following:

When I access the views on the english site, I activate a page, and change the settings, then do the same for the block, which has a different display than the page. For example:
In the block, I have an unordered list of node titles, listing the recent 3, with a 'more' link that takes a user to the "Page" which has a full list of all related nodes, displayed as nodes (instead of unordered list.)
I preview it, like it, save it, it works perfectly!

Now trying to do the same thing on the french site is becoming more of a challenge, since whenever I change a setting on the block for example, I only have the option to "Update default settings", then I go to edit the "Page", and I the only option I have is "Update default settings"!!! So it seems that no matter which option I choose (default setting / page / block), it applies the changes to other pages, which is weird! I don't have this problem on the english site - and both sites are created from a fresh installation.

Any suggestions????

P.S. I selected version 6.x-1.0 because my actual version is not there, its: views-6.x-2.6
and I am running Drupal 6 on both sites.

I'm not sure you are addressing your issue to the right place. The Views Block module allows to create a VBO to manage blocks. Your situation seems to be more related to showing a view in a block. Am I understanding correctly? If so, please change this issue's Project to Views instead of Views Block. Thanks.

I wasn't sure in which category it belonged. Simply put, I am having problems creating a page view and a block view. I'm moving it to Project views.

There's a button that, in English, says "Override". Click that on either the page or the block.

Problem solved!

Ok, after a few hours of creating/deleting views, trying different options and reinstalling the views module, I realized that on the French site, it is slightly different, in the sense that the regular "Update" button is replaced by "Update default display", which I used to click and thats why my block is back to the default view.
There is another button at the top called "Remplacer", which I had to click instead of the "Update default display", then click on "Mis a jour" to actually update the block view without affecting the default settings....
Phew!!!!!

P.S. French is my third language!
