Argument Filter as a Menu

I am trying to create a custom filter for a vocabulary that will display as menu when viewing a corresponding term.

For example:

When the user views all the nodes listed under "Term1", I would like for them to have the option to filter the nodes for the "last 7 days" from a menu. I have created the filter for the "last 7 days" correctly and have tested it inside of views. I add the argument for the taxonomy term and set the path to "content1/%/last-7-days". I then set the view as a menu tab. When I got to "www.mysite.com/content1/term1" and click on the link for "last-7-days", I am taken to "www.mysite.com/content1/last-7-days" not "www.mysite.com/content1/term1/last-7-days".

How do I get the filter to be appended to the current url? Or is there a better way to accomplish this?
