When changing which roles can have access to a Menu Tab, the Override button does not remain available when selecting Roles under Access options.

The Override button is present when selecting which Access restrictions. However, this button disappears when selecting the settings link and you move into the Access options area.

Thereby, instead of changing the Roles access to a particular Menu item/tab, you are changing the Default role access.

Title: Multiple Roles Access: Ability to Override » [Solved using Cloning] Multiple Roles Access: Ability to Override
Issue tags: +clone views

The way I resolved this problem was by cloning the initial view.

This is how I did it:

  1. I created a complex view with many root menus, default menus, tab menus.
  2. Once I got the layout and functionality I wanted, I began clone the view into as many variations of role accesses were required.
  3. In the default page of each clone, I set up a different role access requirement.
  4. Within each close, I pruned off leaf-pages that I determined not desired because its clone's default role access.
  5. In the end, every leaf-page of the initial view should only reside within one of the clone views.
  6. In the end, the resulting set of clone views will look exactly as the initial view, but now each of the leaf-pages have different role accesses.

The override is just for the access setting and not for particular part of the access setting.
