I'm making some serious changes to a View, so I'm carefully backing everything up.
I Exported the View before I started, so I could always go back. Well, I got to a point where I wanted to go back. I deleted the view, and tried to Import the backup. I had simply saved the result of the Export in a text file, and then pasted that into the big Import field.
I get the error "An illegal choice has been detected. Please contact the site administrator." which is no help at all, since I *am* the administrator (of this sandbox, anyway), and it gives me nothing to go on.

Clues, please?

That message usually appears when a select box, checkboxes or radio boxes is given a choice in the post that didn't exist. The import form contains none of these things. I don't see how it could've given you that message unless there's something form altering the form somehow.

And since you didn't paste the view there's not much else I can guess at.

OK, I just ran into it again.
I tried to clone a Content Type I'm working on, so I "Export"ed it and copied the displayed code directly to an "Import", changing only the name. Same message. So here's the code attached.

Your attachment is for... a content type, not a view. If this is still an issue, open it up under CCK.
