I have set up a view for News/events which needs to have an RSS feed icon at the bottom of the page.
I have created a Feed display, and attached this to all the available displays. The $feed_icon should now be able to print the relevant icon on all of my displays that I specify. It does so on a block view which i've created, but on my page view nothing is showing up and the $feed_icon variable is empty, even though the feed is attached to the page under the attachment settings under "feed".
Export of the created view is attached.

merlinofchaos commentedOn pages, the feed_icon isn't utilized because there is a 'page-wide' place that Drupal expects the feed icon to go, and it goes there. For page views, your feed icon will display whereever the page.tpl.php in use puts it.

fgasking commentedAh I see!... i'll keep this in mind if I spot any similar issues on my travels and before posting. Thanks Merlin!

fgasking commentedNot sure how that happened, certainly wasn't intentional :)
