Hello,
After adding the views directory to modules.
I cannot open the modules configuration\installation page under administrator - site building.
A blank white page is being open without no error informed.
when deleting the folder from the modules directory, I can again enter the modules section.
Any Idea ?
Thank you very much.

merlinofchaos commentedIs there an error in your apache/httpd error_log file?
CCTP commentedI'm sorry,
I don't know how to check for errors in apache/httpd error_log.
where can i find this log file ?

merlinofchaos commentedPlease see the troubleshooting FAQ in the support section of the drupal.org handbook: http://drupal.org/node/158043
Comment #4
CCTP commentedWell, I found it in the Cpanel, it shows no errors.
yet still i get that white page...
?
By the way, i saw in the Cpanel that my php memory is set to 16M.
And i just tried it on my local environment... got the same problem...
i have the following modules installed :
CCK
dhtml menus
LoginToboggan
TinyMCE
Captcha
EDIT:
I will add some more information that might help...
I now recall that at first when uploading views folder i was able to get into the modules page.
after installing it is when I start get those blank pages.
after that i have delete and upload that module for several times.
now I have uploaded the module again but change the name of the folder to something else.
now i can get into my module page and can see the views module
???
now, when I press the save button i get the same blank page.
so again changed the folder name, and this time i installed only the "Views" component.
when I install the "Views UI" is when the problems come.

CCTP commentedI have just increase my php mem to 30M and it looks like it solved it..
Thanks anyway ! :-)
merlinofchaos commentedahh, the problem must've been memory then. Oddly that usually comes with an error message.

sokratesagogo commentedI had a similar problem, but increasing PHP memory limit to 30M solved it too.
I notice that uploading the module folder seems to result in the module being activated by default - is this a bug?
Cheers, Sok

rouand commentedactually I'm using drupal 6.13 so I didn't know what to chose from version drop down menu...
I'm facing the same problem after installing views which was a part localisation project related modules...
I wasn't sure which module caused the issue, but according to this discussions I may suspect views module.
I'm still working on local environemnt so I think I have plenty of memory.
the problem is that this blank page doesn't always encountered and after reading the replies I found that my php.ini booked 128M of memory which is huge compared to 16 or 30M and increased it to 200M!
so I wouldn't know what to do if I encounter this problem again.
